Happy New Year

It's nearly 2 am here and we just walked home from our friends' place where we saw in the New Year, and yes, that means 2009 is here in NZ!!!
Photobucket

I know some of you hate New Year Resolutions, and I know I never even posted my bucket list yet... maybe later today will be a time for some serious contemplation! I do wish you all the best, and thanks for being my friend on LJ this year.
Love from

Happy New Year to you as well!

How's 2009 looking so far? (It'll be a few hours yet until it arrives here, so I'd like to be prepared, heee)

Ooh, cool icon!! So far the New Year is looking warm and windy here. But then, it's mid summer!
I hope Israel and Palestine don't bomb the crap out of each other this year. I'm praying for a ceasefire.

I really hope you have a brilliant year. I think you will. You know, after your rec post, I went back over some of my Sam stories on your site, and I felt quite odd, like, 'did I really write that' and 'how did I know all that' and 'ooh, I'd like to edit that'!! I guess it was a time and place...

And my favourite author seems to have made his way to my LJ. So really, how could the new year have begun any better!

Thank you! I like taking pictures of fireworks, but they're so rarely well done... (at least when I'm the one taking them, heee)

And yes, let's hope that 2009 will see a little more peace, and a lot less war...

Oh, and if you knew how many times I've wanted to edit old stuff of mine... (I try not to, because if I start, I'll never stop, lol). Your stories were great!
I miss the good old TWW days... I might actually give my DVDs another look soon.

A brilliant year to you as well!

It was a vibrant time! Great fans! I miss it sometimes too.
I found it incredibly hard to look at TWW after Sam left. I just couldn't bear it. I guess it'd be okay now to look back at the first few seasons...

Hee, thanks. Yeah, I guess the trick is to learn to just keep moving ahead, and to say, 'what's done is done.' and then 'What's next?'!!

The truth is, I never watched one WW episode Sam wasn't in (though I did watch the end, or rather, the two episodes he was in at the end. And I still haven't watched the last scene of Red Sky, either...) But the first two seasons remain one of the best thing I ever saw on TV, no matter what happened later. :)

Nice Sam icon

We watched a few more episodes but I was always just waiting for Sam to come in the door. It felt awful. Then we missed a few eps and watched another one and it was terrible, CJ taking the President aside and giving him a pep talk, telling him how he needed to come through for the country... OMG!

Happy New Year to you too! I saw in 2009 playing games and eating way too much chocolate and too many lollies. Didn't think to log on to LJ when we finally decided to retire - by then it was just time for sleep!

Sounds like you had a great new year - I look forward to your bucket list (although I'm not entirely sure what that is...)

HEY HEY HAPPY NEW YEAR
-I saw in 2009 playing games and eating way too much chocolate and too many lollies.
Sounds brilliant. We ate this mocha berry trifle I like to make.

I was just too awake to go to bed - our friends' neighbour had tried to have an argument with us about church, and his wife just up and stormed home without him, so it was more... exciting than we had planned!

A bucket list - comes from the movie of the same name - is a list of things you'd like to do or achieve - it apparently helps you to live longer! I'm kind of scared to make one... I'm not sure what to hope for. I need more determination!

I think we'll have a good 2009, huh.
And how did Nick get on my LJ???

??? - Sorry, confused over here. I actually don't know what you're referring to? Did he reply to one of your posts or something?

Yes! Yesterday's post. Like, wow, I just about died. I thought it must have been your doing!

*hugs you back* Thank you.
I feel like we need a chat like we did in that Lower Hutt cafe one that lasted for ages. I curse our busy lives and all you've been through this year already. And you, you know, living on the other side of the world. I am, as usual, thinking of you.
