En vacances!

I am now officially on holiday. Yesterday a huge chunk of the Staff left for Samoa, leaving me in charge of the College for the next few hours and having to dismiss everyone for the winter break. It was kind of fun, I had the keys to everywhere on the campus *g* Now I am on the road to winding down. Tonight was my first evening in two weeks where I didn't have to do anything or go anywhere. It was nice. After getting back from Palmerston North's conference I had the school Senior Ball to go to last weekend, two long parent-teacher interview nights on Monday and Tuesday which went from after school until after 8.30pm, I had Asher's teacher interviews yesterday at his school, I had Confirmation practice and other usual stuff. But this weekend we head for the SNOW! The children want to snowboard. That should be interesting.

I had a bit of a... disagreement with the Archbishop this morning too so nothing has changed LOL. I'll tell you about it tomorrow. Right now I just have to go to bed to get on with reading my third Blomkvist book since I have no lessons to plan - hooray.

On other fronts, Wimbledon and World Cup Soccer no longer have my favourites in them so I'm losing interest. Anyway, it's not like I've got nothing to do. The house needs attention. And up the mountain I plan to WRITE. Good or not, it's what I like to do. And I think maybe doing what you like to do now and then is pretty darned important, huh. I hope you can do something you like to do today.

Good night.

Just watched Murray lose in the semis at Wimbledon...so my interest has waned too.

There are lots of cars around here with tired looking English flags drooping from the aerials. I never had much interest in the World Cup but Colin kept me informed and now doesn't so presumably his interest has waned too.

I hope you have a wonderful time in the snow, boarding or writing or both! Have a lovely holiday! It seems so amazing that you are having a winter holdiay while we are outdoors most of the time in sunshine!

Yeah, that other side of the world thing strikes again. It's sure chilly here tonight so it's a good time to be heading for the snow I guess. I'm taking a pen and paper and not much else!
