My class tries Celtic knots

Some of our Celtic knots made by my year 12 (that's probably Grade 11) students - we have been studying the Book of Kells and Romanesque architecture and art.

I don't know why the first pic is still huge... argh!

Thank you! What lovely careful work. They were clearly concentrating very hard and enjoyed it. They will definitely have a deeper appreciation of the painstaking art of the mediaeval monks!

Hee, thanks. I did keep reminding them about working in a cold monastery by candlelight without magnifying glasses!
Yeah, it was a fun activity to do together, everyone concentrating on each little line, and each line mattered. I said worriedly at one point that we should be doing something more educational but one of the girls thought this was as challenging as anything they'd do that day *g*

A combination of artistic skill, art appreciation, historical and religious insight, and concentration. Of course it was educational!
