News...
Night commute tonight for the children of Northern Uganda. The girls raised $550 in a mufti day appeal yesterday. I get to sleep the night at school in the gym with a raft of wild teenage girls. Yikes!

Asher gets home from camp tonight, hopefully before I have to go to school. Broken arm and all.

Finn had a great day trialling a new school yesterday.

And in more exciting news, I guess, from our (that's you and me) point of view...
Our chairman of the board phoned last night, and - he was very positive - he said my interview was definitely the best one. So... I have the job! I am now the official Director of Religious Studies at the college! OMG!

Well done!! I thought that that was probably the news, and I'm really pleased for you, pleased but not at all surprised!!!

Hope you have a good night and that Asher gets home safely!

They made it clear there were other people in the running. But I'm glad it's me.

Congratulations and lots of hugs!

You must be feeling so glad you left the previous job! This will use so many of your abilities and seems likely to give you a lot of joy. As well as being good news for the school, which has obviously taken you to its heart!

Thanks! I am definitely glad I left the old job, as is my friend from the same hell-hole, who just scored a job at Finn's new private school!

And the school has definitely taken me in. I love them, they love me!

Congratulations!! You deserve it, and the school is lucky to have you. I also hope, as time goes on, it will become easier (in terms of preparation, lesson planning etc), leaving you more time for family and writing.

Thank you! That was kind! I think it will get easier every year. Just need some time in the classroom without students to get my head around it all!!
