Paper wars...

I am sorting papers. Piles of them. Bills, worksheets from all different classes, admin stuff from school, memorabilia, it's all been piled on my desk over the last few months. So today I'm sitting in front of the tennis and sorting papers. Tomorrow, I'll start planning and plotting for me and for my department. The tennis was brightened by Djokovich doing an impersonation of Sharapova. It was good!!

I've been listening to Nick Earls one more time on the radio in Brisbane this evening. He sounds huskier than I thought, and pretty damned cute. Still, that could be the fan in me talking, I dunno *g*
I guess I'd better stop listening to him here on the pc and go get on with the paper sorting. I have so many ideas for plans for lessons and topics, ideas for how to help the teachers in my department, but I just feel really tired, like to actually start the planning would be too much effort. Maybe I'm scared of that next step. I'm just letting it bubble around in my head. I think it's because I'm trying to wear my other glasses and I swear they're a different prescription! Still, can't blame the equipment, huh!

Phil Gulley has had bronchitis over New Year. I feel for him. *sigh* I love my humour heroes, Phil, and Nick!

And I suppose I ought to go clean the car - I'm getting a WoF tomorrow and the car is covered with cobwebs!! At least we don't have spiders like they do in Zigzag Street. Attention, Geraldine, do NOT click on the link - ne click pas!

Yikes! Aaaaaaaaaaah! Cane toads. I hear they can kill a cat! So it must be a huge squish! *more shudders*

There were a lot of frogs around our pool and apartment croaking at night, but although they were really loud, I never saw them. I think they were probably small ones.

The frogs can get quite big too but the cane toads are HUGE. They are more common further North and hop all over the road at night time, especially in rainforest areas. It's a bit of a game to see how many you can run over - horrible I know, but they are beastly things. And yes, the squish is sort of like a thud!

I just CANNOT imagine that kind of squishy thud. Mind you, I've been in a car running over a possum and that was more of a thud, thud, thud as it rolled under the car! We hate possums here though, so it was a good thing.
