A friend sent this today. Maybe she sensed I had a problem or two LOL! I would think it was just co-incidental. But it should be a reminder to me to be kind - all the time. Still, I don't think I can some moments. Intense emotions just pour out occasionally. Maybe it's better if no one listens to those outbursts. Like a kettle boiling. Let it turn itself off and calm down. we had a death in the parish of a really good man, and we had a liturgy meeting that should send the priest to burn in hell. But oops that's not kind either!

Still, these are nice words, and worth pondering on.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'

So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.

'H-M-M,' she said,

'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'

So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed
that she had only one hair on her head.
'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going
to wear my hair in a pony tail.'
So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed
that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
'YAY!' she exclaimed.
'I don't have to fix my hair today!'

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.......

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...

It's about learning to dance in the rain.

I guess I forget that people need sympathy, not anger. Love. Care. Kindness. I shall have to dig deep.

No, I think it's one of those anonymous things. But after a day of badmouthing everyone I deserved to be reminded of how to behave!

Well, it's a lovely 'anonymous thing' - maybe your senior girls should share it, too?
You're welcome to rant etc. It's your LJ after all! I just sometimes wish you wouldn't remove the comment thingie as I'd like to send hugs...
I've used an icon I made from last year's birthday card from you - I meant it for feeling ill, but maybe you should have it and use it when you're feeling mentally sick?
I'm not feeling at all fragile - just tired after Leicester - I only used it for you!

I have to remove most of my momentary rants and usually the comment thingies because every time my good friends take offence. My old friends used to berate me for having a rave. I thought my new ones would tolerate it... *sigh* I've tried for ages to just be nice nice nice but surely sometimes we can have a blow-out. I guess not, without a big rider. I love your icon though. I don't think I could use it, I'm not meant to admit if I'm feeling fragile.

If you feel the need for a rave/rant coming on, go to the lighthouse (and make sure nobody's following you), lock the door, and email me. I'll put my counsellor's hat on and listen then put my friend's hat back on and send hugs.

Thank you! But *pout* this is my LJ and every time I get annoyed I upset Phil. Still, you're right, I won't share it with the team. And boy, do I have a rave right now, about our new parish priest. But I'll keep that one to myself for now...

Thanks, Liz, you are kind.
