Hi team. It's late. I had a lot of work to do. A heap. But I had to help Finn with his Maths, take Christy to get a new printer cartridge and some stuff for her art, supervise the piano lessons and pay for them, get Asher to tennis, go to the soccer clubrooms and collect the practice gear and match ball and stuff, collect Asher from tennis, eat dinner, talk to my mother on the phone, help Asher with his science homework, - and then Christy says her throat is more sore than before and would I take a look? I didn't want to, I was taking ten minutes of peace and quiet to answer Viv's meme on icons before starting my marking. But I got the torch and took a look. 'You have tonsilitis,' I pronounced. Then we tried to take apart tomorrow but there was no time to get her to the doctor which is near home but nowhere near school. So off we went at ten tonight to the AfterHours Clinic... Now it's a quarter to twelve and we are home again. The doctor looked at her throat and said, 'Your mother is right.' I told him I'm always right *g* and he gave us a prescription and some starter tablets since the pharmacy closed while we were sitting in the waiting room *sigh*.
So. That was this evening, gone. On other fronts, today I started packing up my room. I really move over the next couple of days.
I have a girl in my ethics class from Zimbabwe. We discussed the incredible inflation there, it's horrific. A kilo of lemons costs Z$2,000,000. Unbelievable, huh. I hope the elections solve the horror that has befallen that place. I told Christy we were lucky the doctor only cost $52.
And we watched Paper Clips today. A brilliant documentary.
