Aw, my beloved Suilven. Thank you. You know, I toyed with having hte gaelic for my LJ name but thought maybe t was too pretentious but I sometimes wish I had as Suilven is neither here nor there.
Anyway, climbing this mountain from east to west is one of the things about which I am extremely proud. It was definitely one of the scariest things I have ever done in my life.
Your first pic is looking at Suilven from the west towards the east. We walked from the small lochlan at the far eastern end across the moors to the foot of the eastern abutment and up we went. You can't see all the 'little' troughs and gullies in between but trust me, they are there!
Your second pic is looking at it from the north west. We walked out that way at the end of our long, long day where we sought revitalisation in a local hostelry. Never did a pint taste so good.
I thought you'd like pics of Suilven! It was a pleasure finding them. The Gaelic is nice, and I don't think it's pretentious. But I like Suil as well *g* And after all, I live in Torridon Road!!!

Thanks for taking the time to put it together.
