prayer, hormones and other stuff

I'm not keeping up with LJ as usual. It's been hot here (finally) and really, really busy back at school. I have so much to do and I guess the good thing is I know WHAT I'm doing this year! I had to lead the staff in a liturgy on Monday and that went well, then I'm on Staff prayers all week to kind of 'lead the way' OMG!
At home we've had a LOT of teenagers in the house lately, often two or three extra for dinner, or four or five all just in the living room when I get home! It's odd, suddenly sharing your home with a whole bunch of tall kids with raging hormones! Both Christy and Asher have boy/girl friends now so the heat is on. All I keep saying is, no sex! No sex. No... Sex...

Yesterday I had a good day until about three pm when I found I had hardly anyone enrolled in my Ethics class who can actually work, my immobiliser remote control broke so I couldn't start the car, a very nice Sister of Mercy passed away from cancer and her funeral was at the same time as an important meeting at school and I was suddenly very miserable. But my husband brought the spare immobiliser remote from home, my AP sorted the other problems, we moved the meeting to 3.30, went to the funeral today at 2.00, discussed the small class and worked out it might work, and suddenly I think it's all okay again! Like a roller coaster sometimes, the first two weeks of school.

On other fronts, well, I have a lot to say but nothing I could write fast, and having just taken up 11 cm of Finn's new school trousers, I really need to get to bed before midnight, so I'll catch up again, my friends. Ciao.

The lighthouse key does not have an immobiliser...

Just saying...

Glad all is now back to 'normal'.

Good point, my dear friend xxx I could have done with the lighthouse that afternoon. It worked out well in the end, and I did what I had to do (like attend the funeral) so I guess it's just a case of getting back into the swing of managing the good and bad days because they are not in my control like the days in the holidays are (kind of!).

*hugs you back*
