Easter mutterings...

Christy got this text from a friend, Michael: Are you in your mother's car right now?
She said no, she was at Uni.
Michael said, well, is it possible that your mother is driving through Kilbirnie with a giant wooden cross sticking out of the window?
Christy said, uh yeah, that'd be my mother.

Gee, thanks Mum, she said when she got home.

I needed our parish cross for our school liturgy, which was brilliant! I'll tell you about it later. It really moved some of the girls. I was so pleased. They need a spiritual shake up now and then!

But really...good old Easter! The Codfish is still the most awful priest on the planet. And I have had a massive battle with a woman who keeps over-managing our music group in our church and I yelled at her fifteen minutes before our 'happy' Vigil began last night. I finally said, 'what the hell kind of Church is this?' and I don't think she was very happy. I think I will spend the next few Sundays at my husband's church...

ON other fronts, my two friends, who are sisters, are both mad at me, and neither has the right to be, but when things don't go their way... they take it out on the nearest person which this time happens to be me (they regularly go for people's throats on the grounds of some self-righteous behaviour or other). It's very uncomfortable and more reason to go to Steve's church for a while. And it sucks, having people mad at you. I am so off people I'm considering shutting down. It's very depressing. Still, holidays might help, huh. I hope things can get better.

I didn't know Steve had a different church. Sounds like you should be there for a while!! Hope the family had a happy Easter, though.

Hey, hey, Easter was fine here. Steve is still at Catholic Church, just not our one. He couldn't stand the Codfish! I guess we'll all follow eventually. Or not... dunno!!! He has a wonderful priest there through the tunnel.

Christy, Finn and I are off to see my mother now, which is seven hours away. I'll talk to you again when I get there LOL!

OMG I STILL love that choc bunny icon!

Sounds to me as if you should all follow Steve *g*

The icon will come out to play every Easter...

And sqee-ee-ee!!!! My mystery egg hatched into Frank and a chick!!! (See my profile page).

Have a good trip.

I have an earless Lindt rabbit sitting in my fridge, every time i see it I think of your icon!!

But does nobody want to eat your rabbit? He will get cold and lonely in the fridge...

I would eat it. I think Lindt chocolate is pretty good, isn't it?! I have a rabbit here but I have passed it on to my mother.

Asher's friend David ate Asher's chocolate rabbit the other night while they were playing xBox. Asher protested at the last bit left (the ears, oddly - I mean, who leaves the ears? surely people start with the ears?) and David said, I thought you saw me and approved of the eating!

Fledge bought everybody a small 'Maltezer' rabbit - delicious. I ate the ears first but only because they broke off as i was getting it unwrapped! In case NZ doesn't do Maltezers they are a popular sweet with a chocolate coating round a malted milk flavour slightly honeycomb textured filling.

Asher should take better care of his chocolate...

We do Maltesers. But only in balls! Never seen one in a rabbit.

-Asher should take better care of his chocolate...
Asher wouldn't have had a chance against his life long friend. David has a special talent for finding sweet food and consuming it rapidly.
His mother is the kind of person who says, I baked your lemon muffins but I left out all that terrible sugar.
Her children regularly moan, why can't you bake like Jenny?

The Maltezer rabbits are new this year. Maybe they'll migrate to NZ by next Easter! The Americans seem to have marshmallow rabbits and even make scenes and sculptures with them...

I don't think baking without sugar actually works, does it? I would have thought either you use the recipe or you buy/make something else entirely!! Obviously her children agree with this point of view!

Yeah, things take a while to reach the Antipodes *g*

Hope you have a good trip up north and a good break from work and church!!

Thanks! I just packed up and left. I decided they could all do without me for a few days! ALthough halfway along the Desert Road I remembered I haven't watered my classroom palm-in-a-pot-plant!
