It's a perfectly still and calm morning here and the sky is completely pale grey. Absolutely my favourite kind of weather. Because it gets so windy here, a very calm morning is a blessing indeed. It feels like writing weather, although I have no time to write just yet. I have a heap of marking to do after our lunchtime friends leave. But at least Mission Day is over, First Reconciliation is over, and I can move forward.
One funny thing that happened on Mission Day - our Year 12 girls go to rest homes. One came back and reported to the school at the end of the day that an old lady had admired her teeth,
"You have nice teeth."
"Thank you," said the girl. "You have nice teeth, too."
The old lady said thank you and, says the girl, "Then she TOOK THEM OUT!"
That gave the school a laugh!

Today, Mass, friends for lunch, marking... and it's Mother's Day as it must be in Oz. So along with Marg, I wish you a Happy Mother's Day, if you are a mother, or if you have a mother.

Today will hopefully be a day of Achievement before the week ahead. Here's hoping...

But best thing, it's a perfectly still and calm morning and the sky is completely pale grey.
