Christmas night thoughts...

Aw, Christmas is great and I opened a slim and exciting parcel from Moth today which excited all the children and they all say thank you so much.
Steve said the Pope is on tv live just now but I'm not sure I want to go see. We didn't watch the Queen's message either, even on YouTube. Steve is pretty anti royalty anyway!! I think the Pope is giving us a blessing.
Thanks heaps, Mothy, it was good to hear from you way over there. You filled an envelope with your usual thoughtfulness! I've had a very lucky Christmas with so many good wishes here, and two great Christmas masses that went really well, great food (of which we still have FAR too much left over) and wonderful warm weather. I am very fortunate. Our friends have just left after spending Christmas day with us, and it's midnight, so I guess we need to go to bed. I went to bed at half past two this morning, and had to be at Mass at nine again.

Take care, all over the world, dear friends. I feel like wishing for world peace. I'll wish for some peace in your own corner of our world for now. Just maybe close your eyes and enjoy a moment *g*

Boxing Day...

It's a sunny day here, although a minute ago it POURED, then it was over. Sunny again. I will try to put the washing out again. I have been thinking of my friends in the north, Viv and Ian, Liz and Gail, Ellie, and Liz, Suil, Hannah; Geraldine and Phil across the Channel, and Cari, Kyle, Becky, Blue Leaf, Amanda and Angela across the ocean, and all their families... who did I miss? I hope you stay warm over there looking towards the New Year. Any ideas for New Year Resolutions??!!! Hee!

Those of us in the South are having pretty good weather (I hope) and at the end of this week we'll be in Oz (that's Australia to you guys) and it will be HOT! We are going with a bunch of friends for the first time, and so New Year will be loud and Irish, I imagine! We're taking Steve's Irish rebel music with us!

Here we have been blessed with goodwill and great spirit, and it feels like we are so lucky. I'm going to do very little that is productive today. It's Boxing Day. It would have been Steve's mother's birthday. I never met her, she died before I came on the scene. It is sad, his parents would have just adored our family and they never met them. I guess you miss loved ones more at this time of the year. Still, hopefully they're watching from ...somewhere out there *g* - remember that song?!!
