Busy weekend. Asher had indoor soccer, cricket, tennis and other fun stuff. Finn had to get ready for his school gala - he, his cousin and friends were making an entertainment stall where you got chances to throw balls into buckets... Bucket Ball it was called *snort* but wow, they made about $300 on their stall alone, a bunch of 12 year olds! Finn was called on as the art expert to graffiti the board, which made him feel good as all the others in that group are in the A stream at school and he isn't! I had to go along yesterday and for three hours I painted faces. The worst thing I did was the dolphin. I cringed every time a child came to me asking for a dolphin! I just can't seem to get it right. Did some good cupcakes and brilliant superheroes.

Steve's gone away for the week to catch people elsewhere so it's all me. Parents' night at Finn's school tomorrow night, a play at Christy's school, a lot of bills to pay, and a heap of schoolwork to do. I am not sure I have the energy to do it, which is probably why I'm sitting here instead of getting on with the work, or the housework... *g* - just got home from work myself, and have to pick up the tennis boys in half an hour or so. I'm thinking we might just buy dinner. Then I can get stuck into some good work this evening. Thing is, I figure, the more you do, the more you can do. Even though I'm tired, I will keep going, and if I make the effort to keep going, I can overcome most obstacles. The power of positive thinking is remarkable. Of course, that isn't going to beat a dreadful illness or some nasty situation, but it pays to keep fighting the good fight. Wouldn't mind a day off though...
Asher broke his toe (again) yesterday, a middle one this time, but I am refusing to give him an ounce of sympathy. He played touch (rugby) in bare feet. So. He had been warned.

Friday, we're having Caritas Solidarity Day, a mufti day fundraiser. I'm going to get the girls in my Mercy Crew to tape up their fingers for leprosy, or cover an eye for glaucoma, perhaps tape their mouths to be politically oppressed... you know how it is...
