a mothy meme

I was tagged by moth2fic
What song are you currently addicted to?

Hallelujah by Chris Rice. I have it on my iPod and I play it when I want to zone out the other teachers during breaks!

What's your favourite season?

Winter or maybe the NZ spring because I love rain and storms.

What’s the latest movie you watched?

Boy. What an amazing and sad movie, and so very kiwi. Everyone should see it.

What is the one skill you wish you had?

It'd be really handy to be a good singer. I play music but I really just can't sing well. In tune but... once at high school a friend said I sang like a muppet and I never got over it *g*

What’s your current fandom/obsession/addiction?

Maybe Bones just now. Read some of the books too. But I've never been truly fannishly obsessive.

What's your favourite musical instrument?

Guitar. Piano. Guitar. Piano. Maybe piano.

What web sites do you always visit when you go online?

LiveJournal. Google.

What was the last thing you bought?

Hot chocolates for everyone after Mass today! Well, no, I had a coffee.

If you won 10,000 bucks today, what would you do with it?

Book a trip to Europe. And buy a basketball hoop for the local Kura Kaupapa o nga mokopuna college kids.

Favourite time of day?

After everyone else has gone to bed.

What's the last thing that made you happy?

Going for a long walk in the rain today to stop doing eternal housework.

Do you want to learn another language?

Yes but I'm bad at that so ...no.

Five things you can’t live without.

Chocolate. Laptop. Coffee. Warm feet. Car.
Now who can I tag? I don't have eleven friends left. Eleven... why eleven?
These are the rules. "If you’ve been tagged, you must write your answers in your own LJ and replace any question that you dislike with a new question.
Tag eleven people. Don’t refuse to do that. Don’t tag who tagged you."

I detest rules so I will tag the people I can think of that might answer and they/you can follow the rules ...or not *g*
Um... blue_leaf, sashajwolf helen_c... I think LJ is dying at my end.

Hee, I'll give it a try (though it might have to wait until tomorrow, sorry).

Right with you on the chocolate and warm feet thing (I'm about to start going to bed wearing socks again. And it's still technically summer over here. Sigh.)

Ah, the European summer... actually *giggle* I have no idea, I've only been to Germany and it was autumn? I think? But very nice weather! I was impressed. It was a gentle pale kind of sunshine. Not the skin cancer-burning brightness we seem to get hit with here!

Oh, European summer is giggle-worthy, at least here in the north. Usually, we have burning heat for about three weeks, then rain/grey skies/storms and then cold comes back.

I love seasons--all of them individually, and going from one to the other.

margaret_r was fussing about not having 11 friends, either - and despite my large f'list I felt pushed because I knew some of them had already done it, some of them don't do memes and some of them log in so rarely they'd miss it!! No idea why 11. I just copied the meme from the person who tagged me!!

Is that the Alleluia/Hallelujah that is the background to the TWW episode when CJ's bodyguard/boyfriend dies? If so, please can you send me the best MP3 download details? I adore that song but always seem to find it sung by the 'wrong' person...

Your friend in High School was probably just being mean for some reason of her own that day. You should sing. Most people can - being tone deaf is very rare and you can't be because you play... - so unless you have a physical problem with your throat or something you can work on your voice till it's at least satisfactory.

That was the Jeff Buckley version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. Equally BRILLIANT (and very poignant for a death scene - I think it was the Imogen Heap version in The OC when Marissa died!) but that's not the holy one I listen to which is more old Englishy sounding in a way, well, the lyrics anyway. I'll send you the sound thingy of my one when I get to school if I get a chance. It's a gentle song.

Thanks. I looked for the song and there were so many songs with the same title I gave up - and the only version of the one I like that I have on my laptop is the version from Shrek...

One can rely on one's f'list to have (collectively) all information needed - it almost does away with the need for wikipedia... *g*
