And once more I try to return. This time I think I'm back. It's been awful having one arm in working order and no power or energy to fix anything. I've been coping but only just. I crawled into the Easter holidays like a sick dog and now, after a week on holiday, I'm beginning to see the light. And writing when I get a minute. So. I will have to catch up with you yet again. Kyle was so not hearing from me he posted me a letter. Kyle, I love you and will be looking out for you so let's get talking.
I have missed everyone and I have missed posting stuff. So I'm getting back... I have over 800 unread emails and a pile of sorting to do at school but I'm alive and fine and even though things aren't completely back to normal, I think I'm on the right track. After the first cast I had, I had to go back and get a new one after a fortnight, and get my arm bone 'stretched again' on gas and to be honest, I will NEVER do that again. Gas and me, not a good combination.
So, what's new with me? I am not sure... our new kitten is really cute and when he cuddles up with Hunter, they are just amazing, a bundle of grey tabbies, sometimes nose to nose, sometimes Hunter has the kitten in a kind of controlling headlock and they just drop off to sleep!
I'm writing and it's in the first person. It's a challenge but one I am really liking. I had written screeds in the third person but I changed it back. And man, that's a task and a half! So after a long time, the Nick story will get back on track. And I threw in a gay priest just to... stretch the envelope...
I have some really magic moments and I often think I want to write this on LJ when I get home, but I've been too tired, barely coping with the house and family and school to do any more than that. Tragic! ha
I flew up to see my mother earlier in the week and took her to visit a cousin in a rest home. Well, OMG, that was an experience. Each room had a person in it. Each one looked like they could use a friend. I felt like stopping right there and doing some visits. And while we were there my mother found another cousin living there. As we left, I told her it must be the place to send her family and she said, just give me a pill! Unfortunately, I don't put much stock in euthanasia.
And... we have a new boss at school and that's hard but I'll reserve judgement on that one. At the moment, I just wish she'd keep her shoes on... and not call the two deputies 'girls'.
Damn, it feels good to be tapping away here again. Somehow I'll catch up, I know I can do it. I don't have complete use of my right arm yet, I can't bend my hand certain ways, it gets really tired easily and looks like crap (kind of bent and bruised even after all this time). But at least I'm alive and kicking and the brain is starting to take control again, the darkness is lifting and the world awaits. So hello world.
