Winter is here. It's dark and really cold in the mornings, which is making my 6.10am start horrifying on a daily basis. We don't have any kind of central heating, most Kiwis don't. But it's really chilly at the moment!! And it's so cold at night when I go out to feed the rabbit. Yikes! It feels more like Ohakune than Wellington (Ohakune is a town right under the mountain). And we don't get snow. Just wind chill! And I like cold but the mornings are hard! Guess I'm getting older.
We watched a YouTube movie today, Cyberbulling. It's a Disney-ish movie but has some very good lessons for students. Stars Lily from Hannah Montana and Kirsten from The O.C.! First half is really rather good and very real. The girls were concerned about the nastiness online. I told them I knew all about it! They were pretty amazed.
The cat is still sickly but if he'd just stop puking around the place we'd be fine. I am trying to sort my life out, and it's not like it was completely under control before I broke my arm!! But it's a Work in Progress... I just never seem to get all my crap together. I guess I'm just not working hard enough. And that's with no writing time *sniff*
When the children were little, there was a house along the road with a bush that grew out of the picket fence, and the bush, a kind of cypress thing, grew out in a kind of rounded shape across some of the footpath (which happens to be quite wide there). It grew and grew. Now and then the owners would trim it back but it continued to grow. It slowly moved higher and became a head-high rounded bush that we would have to duck around. As the years have passed, it has climbed and the owners have gone kind of crazy, I swear. Now the bush is like a table top of dense tree that is well above our heads and reaches out across the path like a shelf. It's bizarre. I will try and take a photo of it so you can see it.
And that's me tonight.

Best wishes to the cat.
Hope it doesn't get too cold. It's getting hot here after a cool and showery spring. It is horrible - wet and cold - in England, so I'm glad to be here. *g*
Glad you can post whenever you can and let us know how things are. Hope the cat improves soon, continual puking is worrying:( Glad everything else seems okay though. That bush sounds amazing, will look forward to the photo.
"We're put on this Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I'm so far behind I'll never die!"
Work in progress indeed!
I still can't get over the weather. It's blistering hot here!
