Ow alert...

I went to the dentist. Now I can't move my mouth. I think my jaw is broken LOL! I have taken some panadol and I have an ice pack, but my friend came to visit after school and she had to do most of the talking! The ice pack was her idea. And it feels surprisingly good but it's a bit like a brain freeze!

Thing was, before I went I decided to shift huge tracts of furniture, to give Christy a desk and take my mind off the impending visit to the dentist. I moved everything in her room and quite a bit in the boys' room, because the big desk was in their room, and then I had to go and I had unfortunately moved the Korean chest that I had put my keys on so they were no longer obvious! I couldn't find them, so I had to phone the dentist and say I'd be there on my bike asap! I was pretty quick into a head wind, but it was hard afterwards, coming out and getting back on my bike. I couldn't pay the bill either, because my wallet was in the car! I have rectified that now, though, so I am much poorer than I was earlier.

So. That was today. Furniture. Dentist. Pain LOL! And it's getting really windy now. I think it might rain later, and Asher has tennis soon. Steve's gone until Friday so maybe I can get some writing done tonight in bed.

What are you up to?

Eagle eyes! I was in a crappy mood and I had a rave about something. That never goes down well with the stalkers *g*
I made it private!

Furniture. Dentist. Pain
Doesn't sound like my dream day really!

Try my day so far...
Printing. Cooking. Wrapping.

That sounds better to me! Though still not quite dream day material...

My dream day would be
Travelling. Painting. Music.

What would yours be? I guess writing would figure somewhere on the list!

Damn LJ died on me for a minute there! It actually said 'died' in some running loop!!

My dream day would be Writing. Writing. Maybe some teaching, believe it or not. Meeting John Grisham and Nick Earls. Then more Writing.

Oh and coffee *g*

Tomorrow I have a relieving job for the day *g*

I think the coffee goes without saying, well it does for me anyway!!

And I know you love teaching, it was school dynamics that drove you out of the classroom , not teaching or the children!

Hope you really enjoy working tomorrow!!

I think I will. It's at St Catherine's College and I know lots of the girls there, from Christy's year, so it'll be an eye-opener. Christy chose not to go there.

Only problem is right now i smy jaw is so sore I can't open my mouth more than a little bit! I hope it is easier tomorrow or I shall be muttering at the girls LOL!

And yeah, I do love teaching. Can't deny that.

Hope the mouth feels better in the morning then, I'm sure it will.

What made Christy decide not to go there?

I think it's my jaw on that side of my face that is the problem! I'm sure it'll be better tomorrow.
Thank you.

-What made Christy decide not to go there?
Well, it is only half the size of St Mary's, so it would be going to another small school after attending one for all of her primary years. Then, most of her class was going there, and she had no desire to continue with them after eight years of being together (small school, no class variations). Last year, none of the girls went there, so it really varies. They all went to St Mary's!

It is much closer, and that would've been good, but she has been really happy with her choice on the whole. At the St Cath's open day, we were not very impressed with the behaviour of the girls in any classroom. And for teenagers, I'd hate to be in a position where they turned round and said, 'you made me go there!' so I tried to just help her make a choice. And she wouldn't even look at the state schools LOL!

The reasoning behind Christy's decision is really sensible, and I agree that it is important for teenagers to make their own choices, we can guide but we can't force...

Oooh, yes indeedy, very wise words there, dear Viv, mother of several teens *g*

It will be three teens tomorrow!!! - Help!!

Three teens, that sounds frightening. I find one so far a handful!

Sounds like one of those days where it's just one thing after another. I hate those days!

By the time you read this you'll be feeling OK anyway, but have a hug or two!!
I went to the hygienist yesterday but she just did a scale and polish, and charged an arm and a leg ...
