Happy Easter!!!

We've had visitors all day, and more right now, so I'll have to come back later.

I arrived early to the church this morning and parked in the school grounds. I sat down on the back of my station wagon for a moment or two and looked up at the bush above the school and listened to the tui up there. I wondered why God didn't stop at the animals and birds, because humans seem so intent on ruining things for one another! The bush is so full of beauty. But I did notice that the possum-free peninsula scheme is working! We have tuis singing in the pine trees. OMG they sound beautiful!
And we had a wonderful Mass this morning, it was jampacked!! I had to do the welcome and there was a baptism too, and honestly, it was a relief to get my spirit back after the debacle of last night! So I haven't lost my faith yet LOL!

Happy Easter!

Yes, the world is full of death and destruction but there is plenty of beauty and kindness among humans too, and I think we ought to celebrate it more. The media stress the dark side - it makes better news. There is a lot of happiness and goodness out there! Am I too inclined to look on the bright side?

No, it's important to have people who look on all sides, and the people who look on the bright side sure make it better for the people who look in other places *g*

Yeah, we do need to celebrate beauty and kindness among humans, and there is plenty of it. I usually love people. But I get discouraged occasionally, because I want things to be good, and they just don't work out that way. And I'm not being naive or childish, I just want us to focus on the good. Because the negative is so disappointing.

I just wish I wasn't so bothered by it all. I got mad about the smacking issue here last week and wrote a spur of the moment letter off to the editor of the paper the other day, and they printed it on Thursday! OMG! I had forgotten about it but several friends saw it and gleefully told me about it!

I just want to explode sometimes! Then other times, I'm calm and joyful as can be *g* - as I said the other day, the rollercoaster ride with the takahe LOL!

Happy Easter to you too, though I'm sure yours is over!

I'm glad the service went well for you, especially after the last one!

Thanks for your Easter wishes. The service did go really well. Our priest asked me to do the welcome, and I said I'm the last person you'd want to do that, but *shrug* I had to go do it, and there were suddenly so many, many people staring at me LOL! But it went okay. And the music was great, and all I had to do was the powerpoint for a change.

It definitely renewed my spirit for the Easter break.
