If you'd like to see the peninsula we live on, go here! hannahfmuk found the site, but it won't go close to our place. Still, you get the idea! We live round about where the little cross is. I now work in Kilbirnie, which is just off to the left.

We got pretty wet at netball and soccer but it didn't matter, there was not a breath of wind then and it wasn't cold. Now it is wet, windy and cold! I've been writing most of the afternoon. It feels good. Now I'd better do the powerpoint for Mass tomorrow, huh. Haven't been to Mass in our church for a couple of weeks, first we were away and we replaced Sunday mass with a walk around the Mount. And then we had the awful combined Mass in Kilbirnie last weekend. I think JCjnr is still on holiday though, so we'll get a surprise priest. My favourite surprise last year was a replacement one we had when John had cancer. I based a character on that one in Breathing Space, he was just such a cutie. Not in a hunky sort of way, just in a - well, in a really cute way... heh...

And what else? News? I talked to one of the parents at soccer this morning. I said I'd seen in the paper that his brother had died, and that I was sorry. Paul said his brother had lived a hard and fast life, and had died of lung cancer at the age of 45. Yikes, I said, I'll be that at my next birthday! But then, I added, I've had a clean and drug free life *g* so maybe I'll get a little more time... I don't think I have any other news. Although one of the dads at soccer is going out with one of the mums from school. And she hasn't even left her husband. They're living in the same house still. Weird, huh. Maybe they're hanging around for the children. But the other mother, I talked to her at soccer last week, she's absolutely gutted. Just like my friend Jill. Left reeling by a man. So unfair.

Other news? Not sure I have any. I'm still tired... that'll pass. Steve is away most of next week, so that'll add to my fun. Well, I'll stop rabbitting on. I know you read, because you keep telling me, and I know you don't comment, most of you, so I'll just wave... *waves and goes back to her laptop*

Yeah, well, you... it's okay. Once I stopped expecting anything from anyone, a while back now, it got a lot easier. Then I get a wave from, say, you, and it fills me with joy.

I could live there.

A surprise priest sounds interesting. Never know what you're gonna get!

It just has to be on your list of things to do one day, come to NZ!!!

I enjoy surprise priests, although it makes music a challenge because we have so much ritual in a Mass. Sometimes they are sensitive to what is going on and how we do things in our particular parish, occasionally though you get one who just ploughs through the service and you have to readjust to whatever he does! The sermons are usually worthwhile, fingers crossed LOL!

We have Google Earth too. It's so cool to actually see our friends' houses, especially ones like you guys, where we would never get to go. We love revisiting our favourite holiday places too, now!
