To write or not to write

I had a good day of teaching today. You want to hear the topics I'm teaching?
Year 9 - recognising signs of God
Year 10 - the teachings of Jesus
Year 11.1 - the Reformation and beyond
Year 11.2 - reverence for life
Year 12 - Biblical Studies I
Year 13 - Sects and cults
Senior Ethics - sexual and medical ethics

It means I need to do a lot of reading before I teach some of these! That can be hard but stimulating. So at least my brain is getting a good workout. The re-advertised position (my job) closes again on Monday. I wonder who will apply, if anyone. The staff seem to be getting the feeling I'm going to be around for a while. And I am starting to enjoy what I do with the girls, what a shame it might be to have to hand them on to someone else. Still, I don't want to think like that. I am not quite ready for full time mother and full time teacher and head of department all in one. And while I'm working so hard, how can I write? I just can't. So do I give that up? I guess I could. I started thinking that I could convince myself it's not the most important thing in the world, even though it is in my heart. I guess that's money talking though, maybe. And I'm surprised how easily I discarded that start of a Samfic. Poof! Gone! That's the computer for you, I guess.

I went out at lunchtime and supported the Poly club, they were practising their sasa. It's a kind of hello sitting-dance-clapping routine. Very complex and held to high standards of co-ordination! I found this competition one from another girls' college up north on you tube
Ours isn't that long or loud LOL! I promised to bring the girls some drumsticks, Christy's friend (a lot of her old school friends are at my college!) was using two long twigs! Apparently they keep losing the drumsticks so the teachers won't give them any more! I guess I can spare ours though. We don't use them. I didn't pursue Asher's drum lessons after that first term years ago... *g*
