New Life

I've been having some LJ problems. Our Mozilla Firefox died on us taking all our bookmarks with it. *pout* all my education sites, all Christy's history sites... and where it went, and why, we don't know. Still, we're clawing our way back...

New life - we have a baby bunny. He is a mini lop-eared black rabbit called Jack (by concensus with all three children). His middle name is Cocoa. He will inherit Cocoa's new enclosure, so we're all set up. I cleaned it all up for him. He's sitting on Christy's lap just now, and she is delirious with joy, she has always wanted a rabbit but I was too scared to own one. Now I've had guineas, I guess a rabbit is just the next step!

It's so special to hold a baby bunny. He's so soft, so - so alive. Precious life.

And it's already half past three on sunday, I haven't done any school work or writing yet and a friend just texted to say she is on her way over for coffee. Yesterday, the heavens opened at netball at eight in the morning and we were soaked. It was like being in Asia in the rain. By mid morning, at soccer, the wind had come up and the rain was almost horizontal and FREEZING! Our wind chill factor is a real killer in Wellington. We got soaked all over again. And later, while Christy and I were shopping in town, the boys and their friends went to the park between showers, and did slide tackles with the soccer ball. All four stood on the porch looking guilty and muddy! I didn't mind, but I had all this muddy washing, rain all afternoon, laundry everywhere, more laundry today, more rain... OMG!

And I'm making chicken pie for dinner. Better go roast those chickens, check my flist, that sort of thing, huh. Oops there's my friend at the door already. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...

What a wonderful idea to get a baby rabbit. You will have to post a photo. Baby animals are so cute!

Sorry to hear you've had a miserable weather weekend. It's been fine and sunny here for the past two weeks. You must have all our rain! (It is still cool though - after all, it is winter!)

And good to have you back on LJ - I was wondering where you were. Hope the computer problems are solved (and hopefully you will find those bookmarks again).

I lost all my old Sam Seaborn and Rob Lowe bookmarks and my newer Without a Trace ones. I guess I'll get by ;-)
I've recovered the useful ones we need around the house like Metlink and Wotif! ... it's really irritating though.

It's helped the children move on from losing Cocoa a lot. I'll take a photo some time this week! Good idea.

*love and a very gentle hug for Jack*

You are doing too much - as usual, I am scrolling back and read your other post, where you disabled the comments, before this! Slow down!!

-Slow down!!
I can't! I just can't. I don't even know how. I can't not look after the children the best I can, I can't not do the job the best I can. I didn't do something the other day, and an email came to the school saying how disappointed that person was. I know it's not my problem, the woman is clearly anally retentive, but it made me feel awful all the same. Then there seem to be so many other people/things who/that need me. I don't want to be needed. I want to be shunned and feared and living a life of a hermit in a cabin in the bush. And here I am running the Religious Studies dept. Help! I feel like a rat in a rolling ball! I feel like I want to step off, but I'm doing something I'm good at... maybe I'm better at teaching than writing. I just don't want to be LOL! Argh!

And Jack says thank you, btw *g*

I made you an icon - this one. If your computer still lets you see animations, that is!! LOL!! Go to my profile, click on view all user pics and you'll find it with a label for you from me. All yours! I'm only using it to alert you to it!

Regard it as an early birthday present. I'm currently trying to decide whether I have time to send you a 'proper' card or whether you'd like one of the e-cards!
I had to look up the code for blue, which was good, because I've been meaning to find a site that gave the codes for ages!

Aw, that's wonderful! And I like Jack for a name too.

Hope that weather clears up! A little rain is nice, but you don't need all those soakings!

And as for your next post, I know you disabled comments, but I'm commenting anyway.

Try and slow down! I know, pretty much empty words, but really, is there anything that can be done? Is there anything the kids could help with, or Steve? Or anything that can be removed altogether? You sound extremely overwhelmed, and maybe it's just for the moment, but I don't want you getting buried completely! You still need to have time for yourself now and then, and hopefully for your writing. Hopefully things calm down eventually, even if there's nothing that can be taken out of your schedule. One woman can't do it all, hard as she may try!

Feel better Jenny. I hope the week is starting off well.

And watch for a package from Amazon in the next couple of weeks...

*snort* I didn't want to face that old accusation that I was whining for sympathy! I just wanted to let it out. But yeah, you guys find your way round LOL! I love you all!

- but really, is there anything that can be done?
Read today's post - I've made a move in the right direction!
Thanks for your caring words, Cari. I do appreciate it xx
