I found my Firefox favourites again! Don't ask me how, they just suddenly became available as an option again. *shrug*

Anyway, ever have one of those kind of really peaceful moments? We don't get many lately, but just now, the living room is really clean (because at lunchtime I tidied up, moved the couch, rolled back the rug, washed the floor and moved some furniture around), the family is all home and the other children who were staying have left, Christy is back from the movies and has the new baby bunny on her lap, the dinner is in the oven, nearly ready, the Simpsons are on tv, Steve's reading the paper by the fire, and I've got my laptop out. It's cold but we're all inside, Asher and I brought in the washing, the pets are fed and it feels like a good night! AND *whispers* I have my James Bond disc in the DVD player in case there are no good movies *g*

I love these peaceful times. I have cooked beef goulash and rice, there is leftover lasagne, the house is warm and really, to be honest, we are very fortunate.

*sigh* peace is a beautiful thing.

I like something John Paul II said, (I've been researching war and justice for Ethics and I found this the other day): "There will be no peace on earth while the oppression of peoples, injustices and economic imbalances, which still exist, endure." He insisted that changes in structures, economic and otherwise, must come from conversion of hearts: "But for the desired structural changes to take place, external initiatives and interventions are not enough; what is needed above all is a joint conversion of hearts to love."

It's lovely to have a peaceful evening, we had one too. Chris had come home from school feeling ill, David got back from Leeds late, and it had been pouring with rain all afternoon so we decided to cancel all the boys events for the evening and just stay home, eating pizza and watching TV! We don't do that very often, but it was lovely.

I'm glad you've had that sort of peaceful and contented time too, and that you've found your Firefox favourites too!!

Your peaceful evening sounds lovely too. Isn't it nice to just have everyone home now and then, no obligations, just being together as a family. It becomes more precious as everyone gets older, too, I guess.

Yes opportunities for family time definitely decrease in a house full of teenagers, our household closely resembles Piccadily Circus, people coming and going all the time, but no one hanging around for very long!!

Glad you found your favorites! That would be an annoying thing to lose!

I love those peaceful moments too, when everything is actually done and you can just relax for a while.
