Out to dinner...

Hola!

I got my department to go out to dinner tonight. A first, apparently. We had a lovely meal in Lyall Bay, at a place called Elements. Nice. Good to get five really REALLY different people talking, both about work and about other things.

And I'm so tired, I'm going to bed even earlier. Look, it's only quarter to eleven. Busy, busy, difficult and challenging day, including two nails in two car tyres at once. But oh, we played the trading game last period and it was freakishly successful!!! I'll tell you about it at the weekend. The girls wouldn't stop until they were halted by the bell at the end of the day!

And I now have to become an expert on church architecture for my Year 12s. So I might need all your photos!!! Lucky I went to all those churches in Germany. I have many stained glass windows in my file. But now I need to know the differences between churches in different eras, art, architecture and music. The textbook is turgid and dull, so I suspect I'll be surfing the net over the weekend!

I spent one summer volunteering as a tour guide at St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh (http://www.stgilescathedral.org.uk/) and have a ton of notes and booklets on the history of the building. If any of it would be useful to you, let me know and I can type some stuff up. If I had longer to get them to you I'd offer to send the booklets over (there's one just about the stained glass windows, and another more general one) but I fear they'd probably take too long to arrive.

Thanks, dear Hannah! I wouldn't ask you to type up anything! I'll look at the site though *hugs you too*
