Where did the day go...

Drove Asher to school, kept Finn.
Posted bills.
Had blood test.
Took poster paper to my school.
Trimmed Finn's hair and photocopied his report.
Went to interview with Head of junior school at Finn's potentially new school, Finn nervous.
Dropped Finn at his own school.
Went home and cleaned up a bit, had coffee.
Bought Finn new Cherub novels.
Hired Freedom Writers for my Year 11s to have a little look.
Got to school by half past eleven to start teaching.
Watched Maria Full of Grace with my Year 12s, hard hitting Colombia drug movie - where's Lianie when you need her now?
Met with Principal about funeral tomorrow, helped with lunchtime song practice for this and Googled guitar chords for Head Girl to play.
Taught seniors.
Stayed behind to reassure nervous girl.
After school, cleaned up glass Asher broke in kitchen.
Took Finn and Christy to dentist appointments.
Bought travel pills for Asher for camp, since they go on the ferry to the South Island.
Went to children's school Rosary evening, most boring rendition of the rosary yet but they tried...
Rushed home to get dinner ready for children.
Dropped Christy at German, cut across town to our school/SPC combined music concert at the Cathedral.
Left in time to collect Christy and friend from German.
Home at nine-twenty for dinner, yay, Steve cooked it.
Put white shirts in the washing machine - spinning already. Yay.
Now preparing for tomorrow...
And you say, where did the day go? Heh. And another one starts in an hour or so. Yikes!

You must be:
hyperactive
masochistic or
doing too much

I get tired reading about it!!

I think it's just that things had to be done. There wasn't anything I did that was even vaguely indulgent or unnecessary really, so it was a matter of do it - or no one would.

And Oh, I love that icon of yours!!!

And the washing machine has just ended.

So go to bed!!

I have indulged myself with a cleaner. My friend Kat, who was living with us during the early part of the summer while she found an apartment, didn't get as many uni teaching hours as she'd hoped/needed to support her PH.D.studies So I half jokingly said she could clean for me and she leapt at the chance and nows does my kitchen and bathroom every week. Bliss! And worth every penny!!

I'm getting tempted to get someone to help. I'll earn enough to support someone who needs the money and I'm sure not getting things done here. Yay for Kat!

P.S. Fledge made the squirrel icon and I'm sure she'd share it with you if you 'credited' her.

Glad to read you found time for a blood test,do take care of yourself in between all the other things.

-Glad to read you found time for a blood test,
Yeah, Finn came in with me but it is one of the things he fears most (he nearly faints after every needle) - he sat and listened to his new MP3 player and was amazed when I came out smiling!

*giggle*

*pout* it was supposed to be my day off. And it wasn't.

- so how come you were in school and teaching on your "day off"? Has it been delayed to another day or has it just been lost in the chaos? If it is the latter, be careful, you need to guard that precious bit of time... without the "work" component of the day you described, it would still have been a busy day, but there might have been some space for you and that is important... Look after yourself *hugs*

I took the morning off. But there was so much to ensure was ready for the funeral, I couldn't walk away from that. I might try and take a day off next week or something. I think that'd be nice!

If I had had the day off, I was planning to clean half the house and plan Finn's party. Now it's late on Friday night and none of that is done yet *sniff* Still, we'll get there, we always do! Thanks for your hugs *hugs you back* I do appreciate it.

Heh, yeah, I guess so, it just never seems to stop, day after day after day. It's like a treadmill, a pleasant one but a treadmill all the same. And it's mostly things I just can't avoid ...or really don't want to avoid!

It's like a treadmill
Perfect description, that's exactly what it's like.

Heh, maybe we just have to have the training and fitness or perhaps the tenacity to ensure we can cope with and ultimately really enjoy the treadmill!
