Asher is thirteen!

Dear Moth, thanks so much from Asher xxx

Asher loved the e-card, and he's had a good day. Now I have two teenagers living in the house, to go with the 135 I teach each week. I guess we'll cope.

I'm so incredibly completely totally utterly shattered, I fell asleep for a moment while marking tests at my desk today just before lunch. Luckily there were no students in the class that lesson!! I'm going to bed now but I'll catch up tomorrow if I can. I can't wait to see Moth's website. I know if Viv's had a hand in it, it'll work well, and if Fledge has been any kind of influence, it'll be lively *g*

So. No news really, just a heap of marking that's been done this week after junior exams and senior catch-ups before final assessment dates. A Mass to plan. Fracture clinic. Three liturgies to organise. Priest to book - no, done that. WoF on the car. Driving the children here and there. Passport photos for me. Garden festival this Sunday. Just a lot of endless stuff. But now it's done and it's the weekend and it's nearly midnight so - I'm off to bed. E noho ra. That means - well, kind of like 'see you (here) later'!

Have a happy rest of Friday.

Glad Asher liked the card.

I once fell asleep at my desk with 15 A level students in the room reading Romeo and Juliet. I don't think they noticed but they were about a scene further on...

Some people have been having a problem with my website URL - I think it should be OK by this afternoon (Saturday, UK time) - apparently it takes time for servers to tell each other what they are all doing.

Yikes!!! That'd be funny! One of our maths teachers said he was working in a small town with no maths relievers so when he was very sick with a flu he dosed himself up and tried to take his class. He said he set the work then sat at his desk... and the students woke him up as they left at the end of the lesson!!

They were an all-female group of student nurses - very sweet and biddable. They all passed their exams! I think they'd have let me sleep if they'd noticed....

Nowadays, all nurses do a degree/degree equivalent. Way back, there were two levels of nursing. My students were ;earning the first level 'on the job' and heading (part time) for the degree equivalent and had to do A levels first - they could choose any subjects and obviously they nearly all took biology, but they chose a variety of others!

Well, that sounds like a great idea!

Oh and your website is just gorgeous!! Congratulations!

Glad you like! Now I have to go and fix all the typos that Fledge has found! *g*
